Ronit Kark

Professor of Leadership and Organizational Psychology

Ronit Kark is a Full Professor of Leadership and Organizational Psychology in the Department of Psychology at Bar-Ilan University and was the founder and former Director of the 'Gender in the Field Graduate Program'.  She is also a Distinguished Research Professor at the School of Business at Exeter University and a Senior Fellow with the Women and Public Policy Program (WAPPP) at the Harvard Kennedy School (HKS). In 2025 she was awarded the prestigious Societal Impact Award for her research and social activism by the Organizational Behavior Division of the Academy of Management.

She studies the science of leadership, gender in the workplace, identity and identification processes, leading for creativity and the development of positive relationships and relatedness in organizations across differences. Her research highlights how leaders can transcend differences to forge positive change in and around organizations. Her research aims at building actionable theoretical models that can inform practices aimed at reducing barriers and enhancing inclusion in work settings. Her current work is focused on men’s allyship in promoting gender equality.
